Sunday Quiz Time

Actual quiz from the pages of Batman #262 (1975):

Ha ha, drive you Bats!! Get it?!?

You know,it's the 21st century...shouldn't the GCPD get, I don't know, Bat-texting, or Bat-IM's??

How many damn circuses were travelling through Gotham in those days??

I gotta say, I would plunk down money right now for a tale of Mr. Batzptlk!

Ace is the place with the helpful hero hound??

Of course, there's been another since then...but I was out of comics at that moment, so I have no idea of the title of her debut story...

Wow, DC really did assume that readers didn't know a damn thing about Batman, didn't they?

I make this pledge publicly--when I win the lottery, I'm going to build an exact replica of the 60s TV Wayne Manor, complete with Shakespeare bust that opens a bookcase and batpoles to the basement.

Well, I hope you passed the quiz. And there's no send off I can give you as appropraite as the one they used in the comic:

Oh, Chris, of course the dog had a secret identity!!This was 1950s Batman, after all...quoting Wikipedia:
Ace was a German Shepherd Dog originally owned by an engraver named John Wilker. He was found by Batman and Robin after his master was kidnapped by a gang of counterfeiters. Batman used Ace to try to locate Wilker. Because he had already placed a large number of "lost dog" announcements for Ace in his civilian identity of Bruce Wayne, he was concerned that anyone recognizing Ace (who had a prominent star-shaped marking on his forehead) might make the connection between Bruce Wayne and Batman. To forestall that problem, he hastily improvised a hood-like mask for the dog that incorporated the bat emblem as a dog tag dangling from Ace's collar. Ace was subsequently christened "The Bat-Hound" by a criminal he helped Batman to apprehend.

The answer you didn't know to #5 is B> Bat-Girl! (from Batman #139)
But they were being tricky bastards. A> The Million Dollar Debut Of BatGirl was the title of Barbara Gordon's first appearance in the role. (Detective #359)
