Why Cap Rocks Chapter XXXII (With Bonus Hellcat!!)

Back in good old 1976, the Avengers (along with Patsy Walker) are trapped inside the evil Brand Corporation (in a room obviously designed by George Lucas and the Star Wars Architectural Academy Of Tiny Catwalks Across Pointless Yet Vast Yawning Chasms):

Well, somebody starts launching missiles at them (!), Iron Man takes it out, but he's knocked out of the air, and...

Oops.

Well, Vision and Shellhead can fly, the Beast acrobatically rescues Wanda...but what about Captain America and Patsy Walker??

And the punchline?

And you know he would have, too.

BONUS: This is the issue that saw Patsy find Greer Grant's old costume, and she became:

Thank you, George Perez. Nobody ever drew her better...

From Avengers #144 (1976)

There's nothing quite like bonus Hellcat!

That Hellcat pose originated from a 1972 tabletop display for Marvel's 3 new books (The Cat, Shanna, and Night Nurse) designed by John Romita. It resurfaced as the splash page for the Cat's chapter in 1977's The Superhero Women. I don't know what the lead time for TSW was, but it sure seemed like the Hellcat didn't exist yet. Avengers #144 was released in Nov 1975, which suggests it was written about Aug 1975.
