The Golden Age Ending For Age Of Ultron!!

Captain Video and one of his unnamed droogs have gone to visit an old scientist pal of his, but something's not quite right when he arrives...

Well, it doesn't take too long to reveal that Makino is actually...

Well, Cap V's plane is smashed, so it takes him a few days to reach civilization. Bad things have been happening in his absence...

Indeed, Ultron Makino has kidnapped another scientist, and is putting him through an evil version of Jeopardy:

What a dick.

Makino even attacks the United Nations to get his hands on more human eggheads to taunt and destroy. Man, why couldn't anyone point him towards those Big Bang Theory clowns?!?

Nice alliteration!

Anyway, Video has a plan:

What?

And so comes the greatest intellectual contest in pay-per-view history!!

Ooh, I can't wait, I can't wait--what's the question??

Huh?

Well, I guess he wasn't so smart, after all!

Wait--he doesn't understand feelings, but he has an ego that compels him to commit suicide?!?

So, anyway, that's how Avengers: Age of Ultron should have ended. Black Widow could ask Ultron, "What is the sound of one hand clapping?" Or Stark could ask, "Describe the feeling of a man drinking a liter of expensive scotch!" Or...

From Captain Video #3 (1951)

Hi from Spain

First of all i am sorry if i dont write the right words. I wan to say you this is an amazing blog and really amusing.

Captain Video? What an silly name. Has he the power of fast forward? or the imposible power of rewind?

And why should the heros be always accompanied with silly preteens? were all the writers closet gays?

please, continue with this blog, oh mighty Monstrobot of the Deep. Here in Spain you are reverencied.

yours sincerely

Damn. Well that and his ego couldn't take being beaten by a guy calling himself Captain Video, so there's that too. So Mekano out dates the GA Robotman right? Because the faces look similar. Not exact, but very similar.
Also If Mekano's so smart, how come he can't follow Asimov's 3 laws of robotics?;)

Athal--
A)Captain Video started as a TV series in 1949--no powers, just a protector of the solar system with advanced science and the like.

B) His companion, Video Ranger, was usually a teen. As to why the heroes always had young side-kicks, well, that was probably mainly a gimmick to give younger kids a hero in the books they could more closely identify with. And yes, in some cases, there was no doubt some homosexual projection by the creators.

Thank you so much for the kind words!

Not to be pedantic, but Captain Video never actually asked a question. You'd think an evil robot superbrain might pick up on that.

Excellent point, Oculus! Mekano should have killed him on the spot for not being smart enough to take part in the contest.
